Beyonder is a leading battery technology company established in 2016. The company has developed, qualified and certified its own product, based on its proprietary recipe, called BePowered. The BePowered products contribute to the green transition through their cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and energy-efficient properties. Beyonder has available an annual production capacity up to 5 GWh. 
   
Beyonder's headquarter is located in Sandnes, Norway, where we have a diverse workforce with employees from various countries and expertise. In addition to creating innovative high-power battery cells, we are proud of our commitment to sustainability throughout the entire value chain. We focus on sustainable materials in cell design, with the goal of accelerating the use of electricity in the industry by offering high-performance energy storage systems that are both modern and sustainable, created for future energy needs.

Beyonder Battery Center

During a year, Beyonder welcomes hundreds of visitors. Politicians, business partners, students, scientists, investors, and media, who all want to see the first battery production facility in Norway. In the technology and innovation center, doctors, scientists, and production operators work side by side to develop, test, and produce environmentally sustainable high power cells. This innovation center will in years to come continue to break new grounds in battery technology industry.

Beyonder won Business Climate Award 2021!

The next great industrial adventure in Norway? It could be batteries!

That makes it extra exciting that the winner of the Business Climate Award 2021 is Beyonder, one of several important players that drives battery development in our country going forward. Their mindset is both innovative and offensive and they develop new and exciting solutions. Over the next decade, we must ensure a good transition from where we are strong today and where we must be strong tomorrow. Norwegian players have several competitive advantages within batteries if we invest significantly and immediately, both in raw material processing, automation and recycling. Beyonder is in the middle of that development, says managing director Ole Erik Almlid in NHO.

Upscaling from lab to production is well on its way! In Stavanger, the energy capital of Norway, the Beyonder innovation line is already up and running.

 

Supplying the world with energy solutions

The demand for batteries will shortly exceed current global supply. To serve a growing market, Beyonder secured the option to build a giga factory at Haugaland Næringspark, after diligent consideration of local community, nature surroundings, access to personnel, and clean power.
